Yaw Rate and Lateral G Sensor: Installation

Install in the reverse order of removal.

CAUTION: Do not install the yaw rate & lateral G sensor in wrong direction. There is an arrow on the sensor showing which side faces the front of vehicle.

Tightening torque: 

18 N.m (1.8 kgf-m, 13.0 ft-lb) 

CAUTION: After completion of installation procedure, the following two position settings must be made.
  • Steering angle sensor center positioning
  • Yaw rate & lateral G sensor 0 positioning These procedures are necessary for VDCCM to later recognize what position the vehicle is in. For procedures for the above two settings, refer to the section describing VDCCM adjustment. < Ref. to ADJUSTMENT , VDC Control Module (VDCCM). >.
