Security Control Module Power & Ground Supply
NOTE:
For security control module input/output signal and connector terminal identification, see Fig 1
.
- Check fuse No. 23 (20-amp) in main fuse block. Replace as necessary. If fuse is okay, go to next step.
- Check fuse No. 25 (15-amp) in main fuse block. Replace as necessary. If fuse is okay, go to next step.
- Disconnect 8-pin main fuse block harness connector. Check voltage between ground and fuse block harness connector terminal No. 6. See Fig 1 . If voltage is 10 volts or greater, go to next step. If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair circuit between main fuse block and battery. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
- Disconnect security control module harness connector. Check voltage between ground and security control module harness connector terminal No. 11. If voltage is 10 volts or greater, go to next step. If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair circuit between security control module and main fuse block.
- Check voltage between ground and 8-pin main fuse block harness connector terminal No. 2 (Blue/Red wire). If voltage is 10 volts or greater, go to next step. If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair circuit between main fuse block and battery.
- Check voltage between ground and security control module harness connector terminal No. 13. See Fig 1 . If voltage is 10 volts or greater, go to next step. If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair circuit between security control module and main fuse block.
- Check resistance between ground and security control module harness connector terminal No. 14. If resistance is less than 10 ohms, perform BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURES (ANTI-THEFT/SECURITY SYSTEM) . If resistance is not less than 10 ohms, repair circuit between security control module and ground.
