Mode Door Motor Function Test

Remove mode door motor. See HEATER UNIT  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Connect battery voltage to mode door motor terminal No. 1. Connect terminal No. 2 to ground. See Fig 1 . Mode door lever should move smoothly to defrost position. Transpose power and ground leads. Mode door lever should move smoothly to vent position. Replace mode door motor if it does not test as specified.
