Location 

The airbag unit is located in the dashboard on the passenger side.

Task 

The front passenger is protected from injury in the event of a frontal impact by the airbag unit.

IMPORTANT The two-stage airbag unit is deployed by means of squib ignition by the restraint systems control unit (N2/7).
