DTC C1031-41: Deflation Detection System General Checksum Failure [07/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. INITIALIZE A TIRE PRESSURE WARNING SYSTEM MEMORY 
    1. Switch the ignition OFF.
    2. Connect the Techstream to DLC-2.
    3. After the vehicle is identified, select the following items from the initial screen of the Techstream.
      1. Select "Chassis".
      2. Select "ABS/DSC".
      3. Select "TPMS Reset".
    4. Using the Techstream, perform the procedure according to the directions on the screen.
    5. Is the initialization normally completed?

      Result

      Proceed to
      Yes
      No

    Result:  2

    No 

    See step  5

    Result:  1

    Yes 

    See step  2

  2. VERIFY DTC TROUBLESHOOTING COMPLETED 
    1. Using the Techstream, clear the DTC from the brake actuator.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [07/2015 - ]

      Chassis > Anti-Lock Brake / Traction Control Module > Clear DTCs 

    2. Using the Techstream, perform the brake actuator DTC inspection.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [07/2015 - ]

      Chassis > Anti-Lock Brake / Traction Control Module > Trouble Codes 

    3. Is the same DTC present?

      Result

      Proceed to
      Yes
      No

    Result:  2

    Yes 

    See step  4

    Result:  1

    No 

    See step  3

  3. VERIFY NO DTC IS PRESENT 
    1. Are any DTCs present?

      Result

      Proceed to
      Yes
      No

    Result:  1

    No 

    DTC TROUBLESHOOTING COMPLETED. 

    Result:  2

    Yes 

    GO TO APPLICABLE DTC INSPECTION.. Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [07/2015 - ] 

  4. REPEAT THE INSPECTION FROM STEP 1. 
    1. If the malfunction recurs, replace the brake actuator, then go to the next step.

      Refer to REMOVAL [07/2015 - ]

      Result

      Proceed to
      NEXT

    Result:  1

  5. REPEAT THE INSPECTION FROM STEP 1. 
    1. If the malfunction recurs, replace the brake actuator, then go to the next step.
