- VERIFY POWER STEERING ECU DTC
- Using the Techstream, perform the power steering ECU DTC inspection.
Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [07/2015 - ]

- Are any DTCs present?

- Using the Techstream, perform the power steering ECU DTC inspection.
- VERIFY DTC TROUBLESHOOTING COMPLETED
- Using the Techstream, clear the DTC from the laser sensor.

Chassis > Smart City Brake Support > Clear DTCs
- Using the Techstream, perform the laser sensor DTC inspection.
Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [07/2015 - ]
Chassis > Smart City Brake Support > Trouble Codes
- Is the same DTC present?

- Using the Techstream, clear the DTC from the laser sensor.
- VERIFY NO DTC IS PRESENT

GO TO APPLICABLE DTC INSPECTION.. Refer to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [07/2015 - ]
- PERFORM THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURES:
- Verify that the steering angle sensor is equipped, and its wiring harness connects with engine stop and start ECU.
Refer to REMOVAL [07/2015 - ]
- Using the Techstream, select the PID item "Steering Wheel Estimated Absolute Angle" for power steering ECU.
- Verify the monitor value with steering wheel position 0° (vehicle wheels straight-ahead).
- If monitor value is +-20° or less, replace the steering column, then go to the next step.
Refer to REMOVAL [07/2015 - ]
- If monitor value is +-20° or more, verify that the pre-collision warning light (amber) blacks out when vehicle is driven for approx. 5 min after the steering angle signal is reset.
Refer to ENGINE STOP AND START ECU CONFIGURATION (USING AS-BUILT DATA) [07/2015 - ]
- If monitor value is +-20° or less, replace the steering column, then go to the next step.
- If the malfunction recurs, replace the steering column, then go to the next step.
