Front Passenger Side Power Window does not Operate with Front Passenger Side Power Window Switch [05/2013 - 01/2014]: Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY - BATTERY)

    1. Disconnect the power window regulator switch assembly connector.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      D1-3 (B) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V
      TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION

      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Power Window Regulator Switch Assembly)

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the power window regulator switch assembly. Refer to REMOVAL [05/2013 - 01/2014] .
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      4 (U) - 3 (B) UP Below 1 Ω
      1 (D) - 2 (SD)
      4 (U) - 5 (SU) OFF
      1 (D) - 2 (SD)
      4 (U) - 5 (SU) DOWN
      1 (D) - 3 (B)

    NG → See step   6 

    OK: Go to next step 

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY - POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH) 
    1. Disconnect the D1 power window regulator switch assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the D2 power window regulator motor assembly RH connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D1-1 (D) - D2-1 Always Below 1 Ω
      D1-4 (U) - D2-2 Always Below 1 Ω
      D1-1 (D) or D2-1 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      D1-4 (U) or D2-2 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step 

  4. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Remove the power window regulator motor assembly RH. Refer to REMOVAL [05/2013 - 01/2014] .
    2. Check that the window regulator motor moves smoothly as follows. Refer to INSPECTION [05/2013 - ] .

    NG → See step   7 

    OK: Go to next step 

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY - POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the E1 power window regulator master switch assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the D1 power window regulator switch assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E1-12 (U) - D1-5 (SU) Always Below 1 Ω
      E1-16 (D) - D1-2 (SD) Always Below 1 Ω
      E1-12 (U) or D1-5 (SU) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      E1-16 (D) or D1-2 (SD) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK → See step   8 

  6. REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [05/2013 - ] 
  7. REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH. Refer to  REMOVAL [05/2013 - 01/2014] 
  8. REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [05/2013 - 01/2014]
