Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor: Installation: Installation

  1. INSTALL ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR 
    1. Install a new gasket onto the engine coolant temperature sensor.
    2. Using a 19 mm deep socket wrench, install the engine coolant temperature sensor onto the cylinder head sub-assembly.

      Torque: 20 N*m (200 kgf*cm, 14 ft.*lbf) 

      NOTE:

      If a component has been dropped or subjected to a strong impact, replace it.

      HINT: 

      Perform "Inspection After Repairs" after replacing the engine coolant temperature sensor. Refer to INITIALIZATION .

    3. Connect the connector of the engine coolant temperature sensor.
  2. ADD ENGINE COOLANT  . Refer to REPLACEMENT - Step 2
  3. INSPECT FOR ENGINE COOLANT LEAK  . Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION - Step 1
  4. INSPECT RESERVOIR TANK ENGINE COOLANT LEVEL  . Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION - Step 2
