Circuit/System Testing

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2008 Cadillac DTS. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Verify that there are no air leaks in the system.
    • If a leak is found, repair or replace the leaking component as necessary.
  2. Remove the ELC CMPRSR relay from the rear fuse block. Verify that the compressor runs continuously.
    • If the compressor does not run continuously, test or replace the relay.
  3. Ignition ON, verify that a test lamp does not illuminate between the compressor B+ terminal of the relay connector and ground.
    • If the test lamp illuminates, test the B+ circuit for a short to voltage. If the circuits test normal, replace the air suspension control module.
