Removal Procedure

    IMPORTANT:
    • In the presence of fuel vapors or escaping fuel - observe safety regulations and national legislation. Store drained fuel in a suitable, saleable container.
    • The vehicle fuel system is designed in petrol engines as a return-free fuel system.
  1. Open the hood.
    2. CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution .
  2. Disconnect the battery.
    • Disconnect the ground clamp from the ground terminal.
    • Remove the nut.
  3. Raise the vehicle all the way.

  4. Remove the 4 line brackets (1) from the vehicle underbody.

    Remove the 4 bolts.

  5. Remove the intermediate fuel pipe or the center vent line.
    • Remove the line from the 4 brackets (3).
    • Disconnect the 2 quick-release fittings (1 or 2) using SA9805E  /KM-796-A. See Special Tools .
    • Seal the line with KM-807  . See Special Tools .
