Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the ignition switch electrical connector.
  2. Install the ignition switch (1) to the ignition lock cylinder case.
    3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  3. Install the screws (2) to the ignition switch (1).

    Tighten:  Tighten the screws to 1.25 N.m (11 lb in).

  4. Install the theft deterrent module to the lock cylinder housing. Refer to Theft Deterrent Module Replacement .
  5. Install the ignition lock cylinder. Refer to Ignition Lock Cylinder Replacement .
  6. Install the steering column trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement .
  7. Enable the SIR System. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
