Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Saturn L300. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Position the generator and install the top bolts finger tight.
  2. Install the bottom bolts and tighten all generator bolts. Tighten:  Tighten the generator to engine bolts to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).
  3. Connect the positive battery cable connection at the generator. Tighten:  Tighten the positive battery cable to generator nut to 16 N.m (12 lb ft).

  4. Install the accessory drive belt.
  5. Install the throttle body air duct.
  6. Connect the negative battery cable. Tighten:  Tighten the battery terminal bolts to 17 N.m (13 lb ft).
  7. Reprogram the radio stations.
