Removal Procedure

  1. Turn the ignition OFF.
  2. Disconnect the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor harness connector.
  3. CAUTION: Ensure that the vehicle is properly supported and squarely positioned. To help avoid personal injury when a vehicle is on a hoist, provide additional support for the vehicle on the opposite end from which the components are being removed.
  4. Raise the vehicle.
  5. Remove the CKP sensor attachment bolt and remove the sensor. Make sure the O-ring is removed.
