Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2007 Saturn Ion Red Line, 2007 Saturn Ion 3, and 2007 Saturn Ion 2. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
    NOTE: DO NOT apply paint or clear coat to the antenna. This will damage the function of the antenna, causing poor reception or loss of signal reception.
    NOTE: Use care when removing or installing the headliner. Excessive bending will damage the headliner.
  1. Lower the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (w/o Sunroof) or Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (with Sunroof) .
  2. Fig 1: View Of Digital Antenna Base & Cables

  3. Disconnect the cables (4) from the antenna base (1).
  4. Remove the retaining nut (2).
  5. Remove the antenna base (1) from the top of the roof.
