Removal Procedure

  1. Raise the window to the full UP position.
  2. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door .
  3. Remove the door water deflector in order to access the door handle rod. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Front Door .
  4. Remove the lower window channel retainer. Refer to Window Channel Replacement - Front Side Rear .
  5. Use a small flat-bladed tool in order to remove the outside handle rod from the door lock assembly.
  6. Remove the outside handle pivot and the outside handle rod as an assembly. Refer to Door Handle Pivot Replacement - Outside .
  7. Remove the outside handle rod from the outside handle pivot.
