In Service Bay
- Connect manifold gauge set. Install thermometer in right center vent. Open doors and windows to equalize inside and outside temperatures. Press recirculated air button to recirculated (latched) position. Set temperature lever to full cold position. Select medium-high blower motor speed. Depress A/C button.
- Start and run engine at 2000 RPM until engine is at normal operating temperature. Continue running engine at 2000 RPM for about 3-5 minutes until system pressures and outlet temperature stabilize. Compare gauge and thermometer readings to A/C TEMPERATURE SPECIFICATIONS (IN SERVICE BAY)
and A/C PRESSURE SPECIFICATIONS (IN SERVICE BAY)
tables.
NOTE:
Humidity is considered high when relative humidity is greater than 70 percent at 70°F (21°C), 60 percent at 80°F (27°C), 50 percent at 90°F (32°C) and 40 percent at 100°F (38°C).
