Diagnostic Procedures

  1. Turn ignition on, with engine off. Using scan tool, monitor AIR PUMP SOL. - LOW VOLT or AIR PUMP SOL. - HIGH VOLT test. If scan tool does not indicate TEST FAIL, see DIAGNOSTIC AIDS  . If scan tool indicates TEST FAIL, go to next step.
  2. Disconnect air pump solenoid. Connect Noid Light (SA9194E) to air pump solenoid harness connector. Using scan tool, command air pump solenoid on while monitoring AIR PUMP SOL. - HIGH VOLT test. If scan tool indicates TEST PASS, replace air pump solenoid. If scan tool does not indicate TEST PASS, check circuit (Pink/Black wire) for short to voltage or PCM.
