Arming Sensor/Dual Pole Arming Sensor: Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1995 Pontiac Sunfire and 1995 Chevrolet Cavalier. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. On Cavalier, install arming sensor and bolts. Torque bolts to 48 INCH Lbs. (5.5 N.m). Connect electrical connector and CPA clip to DERM module. Replace defroster grille, instrument panel topper pad and end caps. Reactivate air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM. Check AIR BAG warning light to ensure system functions correctly. See SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK.
  2. On Sunfire, install arming sensor and bolts. Torque bolts to 48 INCH Lbs. (5.5 N.m). Connect electrical connector and CPA clip to DERM module and replace instrument panel topper pad and accessory trim plate. Replace glove box trim strip and instrument panel end caps. Reactivate air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM. Check AIR BAG warning light to ensure system is functioning correctly. See SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK.
