Circuit/System Verification

  1. NOTE: Correct any other engine control and communication DTCs before diagnosing TCM DTCs.

    DTC P0700 is an information dtc. If there are no engine control or communication DTCs, see Engine Management And Fuel System, V6 DTC Index  for diagnosis of TCM DTCs. Do not replace the control module based on this DTC.

  2. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC to verify the DTC does not reset. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
