Fault Isolation Procedure

  1. Changing components: Change the Charge air absolute pressure sensor. When finished, go to next step.
  2. Checking the DTC:
    • Put the ignition in the OFF position and wait for at least 5 seconds.
    • Start the engine and run it at idling speed.
    • Obtain readouts of DTCs.
    If the trouble code has recurred, the ECM is probably at fault and will need replacement. Replace with known-good ECM and retest. if no DTCs are present, then the steps taken to rectify the fault were correct.
