To remove

  1. Remove upper and lower steering column cowls, 3 screws.
  2. Remove the direction indicator and windscreen wiper switch.
  3. Remove the radio.
  4. Remove the SID unit.
  5. Remove the ACC/heating and ventilation unit (not the seat heating unit).
  6. Remove the switches to the right of the steering wheel.

  7. Remove the fuse cover.
  8. Unplug the connector for the lights switches and press out the lights switch unit. Unplug the three connectors for the lamps, noting the order (black, green and orange).
  9. Remove the two button blanks.
  10. Unscrew the dashboard, 6 screws and 4 clips.
  11. Remove the dashboard.
  12. Remove the four screws securing the main instrument unit.

  13. Unplug the two connectors, one 24-pin and one 12-pin.
  14. Lift out the main instrument unit.
