Check Engine Light

NOTE: CHECK ENGINE light is also known as Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL).

All vehicles are equipped with a CHECK ENGINE light on the instrument panel or trip computer. The light will come on when the ignition switch is turned to the ON position (bulb check), and when emission controls malfunction during normal operation.
