Vehicle Speed Sensor (900 Series)

  1. Ensure speedometer works. Disconnect ECU. Connect DVOM between fuel injection ECU harness connector pin No. 34 and ground. Turn ignition on. Rotate one front wheel. If voltage does not fluctuate between 0.5 and 5 volts, check fuse No. 22 and replace if defective.
  2. Check Green wire between fuel injection ECU connector pin No. 34 and speed sensor behind speedometer. Check Black wire between sensor connector and ground. Check Green/White wire between sensor connector and fuse panel.
  3. Temporarily install a known good speed sensor. Clear codes and drive vehicle. If code appears again, reinstall original sensor and replace ECU.
