Removing Control Unit For Distance Measuring Sensor

NOTE: Voltage peaks

Risk of damage to electrical load or to the control unit
→ Remove the ignition key and switch off load before disconnecting or removing load.

Switch off ignition and pull remote control out of ignition lock.
Disengage trim cover -1- at the top and sides -arrows a and b- and pull it up at an angle -arrow c- .

Removing trim cover from front apron

Remove trim cover -1- from the distance measuring sensor control unit.

3.2 Disengage trim cover -1- at the upper left and right from the holder -2- (-arrow b- ) and remove it.

Information

Always comply with the regulations for handling ESD-sensitive components!

Always wear approved work clothes and shoes when carrying out assembly work.
Do not remove new part from ESD (electrostatic discharge) protective packaging until shortly before installation and only at the installation position.
Do not touch electric pins and plug contacts.

Remove control unit for distance measuring sensor -1- .

4.1 Unscrew nuts -2- and loosen control unit for distance measuring sensor and holder from the bumper reinforcement.
4.2 Release and disconnect electric plug connection -3- (-arrow a- ).

4.3 Loosen clip -4- and remove control unit for distance measuring sensor -1- with holder from the front apron.
