Installing Fuse Element In Power Distributor

  1. Use a new fuse element and insert new fastening nuts -4-  . → Tightening torque: 4 Nm.

  2. Slide cover of power distributor from front to back -arrow A-  and press on it -arrow B-  until the latch engages.

    Information 

    • Only for vehicles with auxiliary battery

  3. Connect the line for the auxiliary battery to the threaded bolts -arrow A-  and tighten with the fastening nut -1- Tightening torque: 20 Nm. 
  4. Position battery ground strap on the body and screw it on tight with the fastening nut -arrow 2-  . → Tightening torque: 20 Nm.

    WARNING: Incorrect handling of safety bolts
    • Danger of injury
    • Loss of torque

    → Always use new fastening screws and nuts following removal.

    → Observe specified tightening torques.

    → Carry out a visual inspection of all re-used parts.

  5. Move the seat in its folded position towards the rear -arrow A-  and then tip forward -arrow B-  .

  6. Screw in fastening screws -arrows 1-  . → Tightening torque: 45 Nm 
  7. Clip in the front seat trim (-arrow C-  ).
