WARNING: Road test on public roads - Danger to other road users.
    • Get another person to operate the PIWIS Tester during the road test if necessary.
    • Perform road test on a road with no traffic.
  9. Drive the vehicle while "Basic mixture adaption" is running.

    Information!

Avoid sharp turns. Select a straight stretch of road if possible.

    • Set the selector lever to "manual".
    • Drive in second gear at about 2,500 - 3,000 rpm.  Maintain this speed for 30 seconds.
    • Switch to the deceleration (overrun) phase, stay in second gear  for 5 seconds  and shift down to first gear.
    • Continue on for about 5 seconds,  then let off the throttle to bring the engine rpm down to idle speed  and vehicle to a standstill.

Once the short test has been carried out successfully, the short test will be blocked automatically because the diagnosis has been performed.

If the "Secondary-air system (total)" flag is the only flag that is not checked, this means that the short test has finished and the diagnosis was performed. However, the cycle flag for "Oxygen sensor plausibility" was not set or the "Basic mixture adaption" was not performed correctly.
