Installation Procedure

Fig 1: Identifying Camshaft Position Sensor O-Ring

Apply a light coat of engine oil to the O-ring (1) on the camshaft position sensor.

CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .

Install the camshaft position sensor (1) with the bolt and tighten to 10 N.m (7 lb ft).

Connect the 3 engine wire harness clamps and duty vacuum switching connector (3).
Inspect for oil leaks.
Install the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement .
