Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the instrument panel upper trim pad. Refer to Instrument Panel Upper Trim Pad Replacement .
  2. Remove the lower instrument panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Lower Trim Panel Replacement .

  3. Remove the HVAC Module (2) to gain access to the Theft Deterrent Exciter Module (1). Refer to Air Conditioning and Heater Module Assembly Replacement .

  4. Remove the Theft Deterrent Exciter Module (4).
    • Disconnect the module connector (1).
    • Disconnect the wire harness fastener (2).
    • Remove the bolt (3).
