Installation Procedure

  1. Install the heated oxygen sensor for AWD.
    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Caution .
    IMPORTANT: This torque value can be obtained by using a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 300 mm (11.81 in.) and SST with 30 mm (1.18 in.). This torque value is effective when SST is parallel to the torque wrench.
  2. Using SST  , install the heated oxygen sensor.

    Tighten: 

    • Without SST tighten to 44 N.m (32 lb ft)
    • With SST tighten to 40 N.m (30 lb ft)

  3. Connect the wire harness grommet.
  4. Connect the heated oxygen sensor connector.

  5. Install heated oxygen sensor for FWD.
    6. IMPORTANT:
    • This torque value can be obtained by using a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 300 mm (11.81 in.) and SST with 30 mm (1.18 in.)
    • This torque value is effective when SST is parallel to the torque wrench.
  6. Using SST  , install the heated oxygen sensor.

    Tighten: 

    • Without SST tighten to 44 N.m (32 lb ft)
    • With SST tighten to 40 N.m (30 lb ft)

  7. Connect the heated oxygen sensor connector.
  8. Inspect for exhaust gas leaks.
