Installation Procedure

  1. Install the ignition coils.
    2. CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  2. Install the ignition coil bolts and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
  3. If the number 5 cylinder ignition coil was removed, install the EVAP canister purge tube. Refer to Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Tube Replacement .
  4. If the number one ignition coil was removed, install the canister purge solenoid. Refer to Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Solenoid Valve Replacement

  5. Connect the engine wiring harness electrical connectors (3) to the ignition coils.
  6. Install the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement .
