Tire Pressure Sensor ID Registration Procedure: Notes

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2011 Chevrolet Aveo. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

A tire pressure sensor is mounted on each wheel to monitor tire air pressure. This system will illuminate the instrument panel cluster (IPC) tire pressure monitor warning indicator icon in the event there is a loss/gain of air pressure below/above a predetermined threshold or if there is a malfunction in the system. Sensor ID registration is necessary when shipping vehicles, a tire pressure sensor is replaced, or if the tire pressure module is replaced. Sensor ID registration is not necessary in case of rotation or replacement of tires.
