Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2006 Pontiac Torrent and 2006 Chevrolet Equinox. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
    IMPORTANT: Do not exchange digital radio receivers between vehicles. Exchanging digital receivers between vehicles will activate the digital radio theftlock. "XM theftlock" will be displayed.
  1. Remove the left rear trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter Lower in Interior Trim.

  2. Remove the receiver bracket nuts.
  3. Remove the receiver from the bracket.
  4. Disengage the electrical connector and the antenna connectors from the XM radio receiver.

  5. Remove the XM digital radio receiver from the vehicle.
