Installation Procedure

  1. Install the generator.
  2. Install the generator lower bolt and stud until snug.

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the generator upper bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts/stud to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

  4. Install the engine harness terminal (2).
  5. Install the engine harness terminal nut (1).

    Tighten:  Tighten the nut to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).

  6. Position the generator rubber boot (3).
  7. Connect the engine harness electrical connector.
  8. Install the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
  9. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure .
