Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the starter. Refer to Starter Motor Replacement (2.2L (L61)) or Starter Motor Replacement (3.4L) in Engine Electrical.

  2. Disconnect the knock sensor (KS) harness connector.
  3. Remove the KS retaining bolt.
  4. Remove the KS.
