1 Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle? Go to Step 2  Go to Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle in Vehicle DTC Information
2 Verify that the passenger window lockout function does not work properly.
Does the lockout function operate properly?
Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems Go to Step 3

  1. Disconnect the driver window switch.
  2. Test the lockout signal circuit of the power window master switch for an open, for a short to voltage, or for a short to ground. Refer to Circuit Testing and to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
Did you find and correct the condition?
Go to Step 5  Go to Step 4 
4 Replace the driver window switch. Refer to Power Window Switch Replacement - Left Front (Pontiac)  or Power Window Switch Replacement - Right Front (Pontiac) .
Is the repair complete?
Go to Step 5  -
5 Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
Did you correct the condition?
System OK Go to Step 2
