Removal Procedure

IMPORTANT: The locking rod is replaced as part of the door latch assembly.

  1. Remove the trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door (Driver)  or Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door (Passenger) .
  2. Remove the front door water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Front Door .
  3. Remove the inside door handle. Refer to Door Handle Replacement - Front Inside .

  4. Remove the window run channel. Refer to Window Run Channel Replacement - Front Door .
  5. Remove the locking assembly, including the attached locking rod (5).
