Removal Procedure

  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 3 in SIR.
  2. Move the seat back and if equipped disconnect the seat air bag electrical connector, located under the seat, yellow in color.
  3. Remove the front seat adjuster track covers. Refer to Seat Adjuster Track Cover Replacement - Front .
  4. Position the front seat forward to between the mid-forward position and the full forward position. Raise the seat to the full-up position.
  5. Remove the bolts which secure the front seat adjuster to the floor pan.
  6. Move the seat to a center position over the adjuster.

  7. Remove the harness between the electrical connector and the power motor.
  8. Remove the seat belt nut from the door side of the seat.

  9. Remove the head restraint. Refer to Head Restraint Replacement - Front Seat .
  10. Tip the seat forward to remove the door from the front hook attachments.
  11. Remove the front seat from the vehicle.
