Scan Tool Output Controls

Instrument Panel Cluster Scan Tool Output Controls

Scan Tool Output Control Additional Menu Selection(s) Description
Coolant Gauge Sweep Test IPC Gauges The IPC drives the coolant gage at or above 125° C (260° F) when you select Up. The IPC drives the coolant gage at or below 60° C (140° F) when you select Down.
Fuel Gauge Sweep Test IPC Gauges The IPC drives the fuel gage at or above full when you select Up. The IPC drives the fuel gage at or below empty when you select Down.
Oil Gauge Sweep Test IPC Gauges The IPC drives the engine oil pressure gage at or above H when you select Up. The IPC drives the engine oil pressure gage at or below L when you select Down.
Speed Gauge Sweep Test IPC Gauges The IPC drives the speedometer at or above 200 km/h (120 MPH) (base) or 220 km/h (140 mph) (uplevel) when you select Up. The IPC drives the speedometer at or below 0 km/h (0 mph) when you select Down.
Tach Gauge Sweep Test IPC Gauges The IPC drives the tachometer at or above 7000 RPM when you select Up. The IPC drives the tachometer at or below 0 RPM when you select Down.
Volts Gauge Sweep Test IPC Gauges The IPC drives the volt gage at or above 18 volts when you select Up. The IPC drives the tachometer at or below 8 volts when you select Down.
Lamp Test - The IPC illuminates the following indicators when you select On:
  • ABS
  • Air Bag
  • BRAKE
  • CRUISE
  • Fasten Safety Belt
  • High Beam
  • TRAC OFF

The indicators illuminate until commanded Off.
1st PRNDL Display The IPC illuminates the 1st gear position (1) on the IPC when you select On. The 1st gear position illuminates until commanded Off.
2nd PRNDL Display The IPC illuminates the 2nd gear position (2) on the IPC when you select On. The 2nd gear position illuminates until commanded Off.
3rd PRNDL Display The IPC illuminates the 3rd gear position (3) on the IPC when you select On. The 3rd gear position illuminates until commanded Off.
Drive PRNDL Display The IPC illuminates the drive position (D) on the IPC when you select On. The drive position illuminates until commanded Off.
Neutral PRNDL Display The IPC illuminates the neutral position (N) on the IPC when you select On. The neutral position illuminates until commanded Off.
Park PRNDL Display The IPC illuminates the park position (P) on the IPC when you select On. The park position illuminates until commanded Off.
Reverse PRNDL Display The IPC illuminates the reverse position (R) on the IPC when you select On. The reverse position illuminates until commanded Off.
Powertrain Control Module Scan Tool Output Controls

Scan Tool Output Control Additional Menu Selection(s) Description
Oil Life Reset Engine Output Controls The PCM resets the oil life to the value selected.
MIL Engine Output Controls The PCM commands the IPC to turn this lamp on and off.
