Installation Procedure

  1. Install the drain plug and the washer.

    Tighten:  Tighten the drain plug to 32 N.m (24 lb ft).

  2. Fill the differential carrier assembly with lubricant. Use the proper fluid. Refer to Capacities - Approximate Fluid and Fluid and Lubricant Recommendations in Maintenance and Lubrication.

  4. Install the fill plug.

    Tighten:  Tighten the fill plug to 32 N.m (24 lb ft).

  5. Install the engine protection shield. Refer to Engine Protection Shield Replacement in Frame and Underbody.
  6. Lower the vehicle.
