Action Taken When DTC Sets
- PCM illuminates Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) after 2 consecutive ignition cycles in which the diagnostic runs with fault active.
- PCM records operating conditions at the time the diagnostic fails. This information will be stored in the freeze frame buffer.
- PCM enters FAIL-SAFE FUNCTION and operates with ignition timing fixed at 5 degrees Before Top Dead Center (BTDC).
