Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix and 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the backing plate.
  2. Install the overhead console housing.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the overhead console screws.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the overhead console screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  4. Install the screw located by the windshield.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the overhead console screw to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  5. Close the storage units.
  6. Connect the lamp electrical connector.
  7. Install the overhead console reading lamp.
