EGR Valve: Removal

  1. Disconnect the EGR valve electrical connector. See Fig 1 . Remove the air cleaner assembly. See AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY  under AIR INDUCTION SYSTEMS. Remove the transaxle fluid filler tube. Remove the bolt retaining the pipe assembly from the EGR valve and carefully pull the pipe assembly back.
  2. Remove the EGR valve retaining bolts. Remove the EGR valve assembly. Remove the gasket. Clean the EGR valve mating surface.
