Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 GMC Sierra, 2003 GMC Cab & Chassis Sierra, 2003 Chevrolet Silverado, and 2003 Chevrolet Cab & Chassis Silverado. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the power outlets to the end panel, if equipped. Refer to 12-Volt Power Supply Replacement   . 
  2. Install the rear seat audio control, if equipped. Refer to AUDIO CONTROL REPLACEMENT-REAR SEAT .
  3. Install the rear seat heater switch, if equipped. Refer to HEATED SEAT SWITCH REPLACEMENT-REAR .
  4. Connect all electrical connectors.
  5. Install the end panel to the console.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  6. Install the 2 top retaining screws.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the screws to 1.6 N.m (14 lb in).

  7. Install the 2 retaining screws.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the screws to 1.6 N.m (14 lb in).

  8. Install the rear cupholder to the end panel. Refer to Cupholder Replacement (Luxury)   or Cupholder Replacement (Non-Luxury)   or Cupholder Replacement (Rear)   or Cupholder Replacement (Pro)   . 
  9. Install the storage bin. Refer to Console Storage Bin Replacement (Expect Pro)   or Console Storage Bin Replacement (Pro)   .
