Installation Procedure

    IMPORTANT: The water-in-fuel sensor must ONLY be tightened by hand.
  1. Install the water-in-fuel sensor (3) to the fuel filter (2).

  3. Connect the fuel filter electrical connector.
  4. Install the right front wheelhouse panel. Refer to Wheelhouse Panel Replacement in Body Front End.
  5. Prime the fuel system. Refer to Fuel System Priming .
  6. Start the engine. If the engine stalls, repeat the above step.
  7. Once the engine starts, inspect for fuel leaks.
