Removal Procedure

- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to LIFTING AND JACKING THE VEHICLE .
- Remove the tire and wheel. Refer to TIRE AND WHEEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Disconnect the Real Time Damping (RTD) link rod from the sensor, if equipped. Refer to FRONT POSITION SENSOR LINK ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT - ELECTRONIC SUSPENSION .
- Remove the torsion bar. Refer to Torsion Bar Replacement .
- Remove the lower control arm nuts and the washers for the 15 Series.
- Remove the lower control arm bolts for the 15 Series.
- Remove the lower control arm nuts and washers for the 25/35 Series.
- Remove the lower control arm bolts for the 25/35 Series.
- Remove the lower ball joint stud nut.
- Disconnect the lower ball joint stud from the steering knuckle using J 43631 (1).
- Remove the lower control arm.
