Ignition Coil: Removal

Turn ignition off. Remove engine cover. See ENGINE COVER under AIR INDUCTION SYSTEMS. Disconnect harness connectors from ignition coil. Slightly twist ignition coil wire at ignition coil. See Fig 1 . Remove ignition coil wire at ignition coil by pulling on the wire boot.
Remove ignition coil mounting studs. See Fig 2 . Remove ignition coil assembly. Drill and punch out the 2 rivets holding the ignition coil to the bracket. See Fig 3 . Remove ignition coil from bracket.
