Removal Procedure

- Close the liftgate before removing the liftgate window.
- Open the liftgate window.
- Disconnect the rear defogger plug from the liftgate window.
- Remove the struts from the liftgate window. Refer to STRUT REPLACEMENT - LIFT GATE WINDOW .
- With the aid of an assistant remove the window (1) from the closed liftgate. Remove the C-clips from the liftgate window hinges, NOT from the liftgate.
- Slide the liftgate window toward the left of the vehicle and lift off.
CAUTION:
Refer to GLASS & SHEET METAL HANDLING CAUTION

IMPORTANT:
Before cutting out a stationary window, apply a double layer of masking tape around the perimeter of the painted surfaces and the interior trim.
CAUTION:
If a window is cracked but still intact, crisscross the window with masking tape in order to reduce the risk of damage or personal injury.
