Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the instrument panel (IP) compartment. Refer to COMPARTMENT REPLACEMENT - INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  2. Reach behind the IP compartment support panel and depress the retaining tabs on the IP compartment lamp switch to release.
  3. Press the lamp switch through the switch opening toward the rear of the vehicle.
  4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the IP compartment lamp switch.
