Cruise Control

On models equipped with cruise control, the system is operated by the PCM/VCM. PCM/VCM receives inputs from VSS, servo diaphragm position sensor, cruise control switch and brake release switch. Based on these inputs, PCM/VCM controls vacuum valves at servo. PCM/VCM prevents system engagement at speeds of less than 25 MPH. PCM/VCM is not serviceable; if defective, it must be replaced. System faults are stored as codes in PCM/VCM memory.
