Code A007: Rear Enable Relay Open, Contacts Open, Fuse Open
If ignition switch is in the RUN position and anti-lock brake controller does not detect any faults, rear enable relay will be closed. This grounds rear enable relay coil and energizes relay. As the contacts close, voltage is applied from ELECT BRAKE VALVE fuse to the rear solenoid. If this does not happen, the anti-lock brake controller will sense voltage at terminals 1C14 and 1C15. To set Code A007, the following conditions must occur.
- Rear enable relay is energized (closed).
- Anti-lock brake controller senses no voltage at terminals 1C14 and 1C15.
NOTE:
Test numbers refer to test numbers on diagnostic chart.
- If code A005 is also set, solenoids are not getting voltage. Inspect connector C161.
- Code A054 will set if relay coil circuit is open.
- Checks relay contact power feed.
- Rear solenoid and circuit No. 961 are good if battery voltage is present.
- Check for open in rear solenoid and circuit No. 961.
- Determines if Code A007 is hard or intermittent failure.
- Check for short in rear solenoid and circuit No. 140.
- If test light is on, check for short in circuit No. 961.
- Checks power feed to ELECT BRAKE VALVE fuse.
